Words of Wisdom – “The cheaper it is, the worse it is”

In an Article in the Wall Street Journal over the weekend (Tomi Kilgore, Dow’s Bounce Was Due, But Might Not Last)  Kilgore mentioned a Japanese proverb:

yasukarou, warukarou

It translates as “the cheaper something is, the worse it is.”

This is an eloquent reminder to be ever wary of so-called value traps.
